The point is not to record what happened. It is to stop a car going into the diary before the parts are actually on the shelf.

Book the car in
Customer, registration and vehicle come from a DVLA lookup — make, model, year, engine, colour, tax and MOT — so the job sheet is right without anyone typing a VIN twice.

Add the parts and the work
Pull items from QuickBooks or the local catalogue, add labour and sublet as free-text lines, and give each part a tracking number. Prices go in inc or ex VAT, whichever way you quote.

Let the job tell you when it is ready
Carrier updates move parts along on their own. When everything that needs to be here is here, the job says so — and not a moment before.
What it keeps track of
Parts, from order to fitted
Track a part from awaiting order through to delivered, with carrier updates pulled in automatically. Panels that need paint carry their own status, paint code and a counter for how long the bodyshop has had them.
Finishing is its own axis
A delivered panel sitting at the sprayer is not a part you can fit. Marque tracks finishing separately from delivery, so a job stays honest about whether it can actually start.
Repairs sent in, not driven in
Items posted to you for repair get their own section, dates and elapsed-time counters — the same scheduling, staff and paperwork as workshop jobs, with the fields that matter for a part in a box.
A diary the workshop can trust
Week and month views, start and end dates, overlapping jobs where you need them, and the technicians assigned to each. Setting dates moves the job to scheduled on its own.
Paperwork the customer can read
A printable job sheet with the car, the work, the parts, the labour and the balance due — including anything already paid, with the payment method against it.
Connected to what you already use
Each connection belongs to one workshop and can be disconnected at any time. Credentials are encrypted at rest and never shown back to the browser.
QuickBooks Online
Customers and inventory items sync across, each linked back by reference so a later edit in QuickBooks never silently rewrites a job you have already invoiced.
DVLA vehicle enquiry
A registration returns make, model, year, engine capacity, fuel type and colour, plus current tax and MOT status with their dates.
Parcel tracking
Shipment status is pulled in on a schedule and moves parts forward only — a carrier update can never undo something a person ticked off by hand.
